If you read the headline and instantly thought..did I read that right? Yes, yes you did. And I’m about to change your life.

Since I successfully made a caramel out of Vimto for my Chocolate & Vimto Tart, I have discovered that I can make a caramel sauce out of any drink, which has been…revolutionary. I have been itching to turn all my favorites into caramels.

And of course, the first one HAD to be my favorite – Coca-cola. I mean, it’s made 90% of sugar, so it made total sense to make a caramel out of it. And it worked like freaking magic.

Honestly, it turned out to be one of the best caramel sauces I have made so far – soft and silky with the perfect consistency.

The best part about this coca-cola caramel is that it’s made with 3 simple ingredients and can be paired with any dessert to add a fun twist to it. I used mine when I created this lemon and coca-cola dessert, and it turned out absolutely delicious 😍.

More of a Pepsi person? Or prefer another soda? Doesn’t matter! You can use any soda of your choice to make this caramel. Just don’t use diet soda cause it does not have any sugar in it 😂.

I haven’t tried it yet, but I think this will pair perfectly with my ultimate chocolate cake. Who wants to try it and give me the verdict? 😜

Okay, so are we ready to turn our favorite soda into a caramel sauce? Let’s get started!

PS: I always measure ingredients in grams, never in cups. Using a measuring scale is the only way to bake accurately. Cups are very unreliable and can give different measurements, so I would suggest you buy a measuring scale before you start baking! If you can’t get your hands on one, you can use the online tools for converting grams into cups, however, I do not guarantee their accuracy.
